SIBÒ - TABLE GAME
One of the memories that remain in my memory and in my heart, is that of my godfather who told me his youth. In particular I remember when he explained that together with his parents, family, neighbors and friends, they met in the stable during the winter.
"it was cold in those days and the stable was warm".
He told me about an elderly gentleman the "Tell Stories" who after a few glasses of wine began to tell some story often invented but that made more "impressive" by passing it for true.
Of course, these stories were about their places and their territory, and sometimes, on special occasions, he told stories about America.
"There was no need to ask for silence, there was no need to turn off the cell phones" once in a while you were there and it was a party, an event woe to those who disturbed.
My godfather told me that with his cousins they hid under the straw because sometimes the story made him afraid... They fell asleep when the story was too long or boring for their young age.
To tell these stories we used the things that everyone knew, that is the places and people of the place, the deep well to make fear... Effective means of scaring and ensuring that children did not go into danger by looking at the well. The fields, the houses, the avenue, the abandoned house. the church, the mayor and the carabinieri.
Today it is said that with this type of writing Theatrical or Script you use the same vocabulary of the public, that is he knows the things that are narrated but clearly not the story.
We wanted to create our "Tell Stories" with a game, giving it a name, Sibo. With him we talk about our places, our territory and its peculiarities and riches. But why do it with a game? Simply because the game is one of the most effective "teachers", and the puppies of animals know it well, they learn the rules and laws of life through it.
In addition, Sibò can discreetly enter people’s homes, on the tables of kitchens or living rooms, before a tea or a snack... with a beautiful somad'ai.
But Sibò does not only want to represent our country, Castellar, but the reality of a "big" province that shares with all its roots hidden under a generous land that has always nourished us.
Sibò also wants to create a hidden "bond" between the earth and the new generations who are moving away from the earth, thus losing contact with the roots that nourish us and the roots of our history, the one from which we must absolutely take inspiration in order not to fall back into the same mistakes.
